NISB StreetGolf is a free, location-based game for iOs devices. Swing your iPhone like a real golfclub. You play 3 virtual holes in your direct surroundings on Google maps. 1 to 4 people can play by sharing 1 iPhone. It makes walking around with your fellow workers during a lunchbreak so much fun!

Founder Matt Galligan shows Simple Geo's new iPhone app that overlays lots of location-based data on top of a map. SimpleGeo makes building location-based apps like these easier.

The main screen shows you the names of your area, the local weather forecast,intersections and coördinates. The Places data in my area are sometimes outdated, but the Wikipedia, Project Noah, Geonames and Flickr layers work fine. Fast and accurate. A useful app!

Google Latitude voor de iPhone, iPad en iPod Touch

Google Latitude bestaat al bijna twee jaar maar tot vandaag was deze app nog niet beschikbaar voor de iPhone (en iPad). Nu dus wel. Google heeft de app eindelijk in de App Store weten te krijgen.

De Google Latitude app werkt op alle versies van de iPhone, iPad en iPod Touch die geschikt zijn voor iOS 4. Daarmee vallen de iPhone 3G en 3G dus buiten de boot, evenals de eerste twee generaties van de iPod Touch.

Google Latitude is een zogenaamde location-based weet-waar-je-vrienden-zijn service.
